The Casita at Casa Pinar is a self contained Andalucian cottage nestling in the quiet hills above Colmenar, adjoining The Montes de Malaga national park. Sleeping two adults in twin beds, sitting room, kitchenette and shower room.
Your private terrace overlooks our vineyard, peppered with Almond, olive and fruit trees.
The Casita is the ideal base for chilling out, or exploring the national park by bike, on foot or on horseback.
A bar and restaurant lies just 2kms distant and serves a variety of typical Spanish country fare.
The village shops of Colmenar will supply all other needs. Use of our swimming pool is encouraged as is the consumption of our own wine!
This is the ideal spot for exploring the countryside or just a quiet break.

The Montes de Malaga national park amount to some 4,900 hectares criss crossed with tracks standing some 800-900 metres above sea level. This is where wild boar roam, some even pop out at night and devour our grapes! There are many species of flora and fauna to be found, along with an old museum of wine. Malaga lies some 35 minutes to the south. The cities of Cordoba, Sevilla and Granada are all a good day trip away. The Colmenar AreaColmenar is a pueblo of some 3,000 souls, with a museum of honey, many bars and a variety of restaurants. Market day is thursday, the fiesta is usually held during the second week of August. |

How To Get Here

Many low cost airlines fly in to Malaga, where it will be essential to hire a car. Follow blue signs initially to Malaga then as soon as you see them, blue signs to Cordoba, Sevilla and Granada. From this point, ignore signs to Malaga. The autovia climbs steadily north and after about 17kms out of Malaga you turn off at junction 124 signposted to Casabermeja and Colmenar. Follow signs to Colmenar and Riogordo eventually turning right on to the access road to the village literally 10 metres before the 8km marker. This turning is less than 2km from Colmenar. Arriving at the village you will see on your right a hotel with "Asador" written in big letters on the wall and the name of the hotel (Balcon de los Montes ) tiled in small letters further on by the entrance. On your left you have just passed supermarket "Dia".You are now at a T junction where you must turn sharp right. You are now on the "Montes" road A 5000, keep on this road for about 6Kms, and on your right you will find a bar/ restaurant "Venta Pinar". Call us on our mobile from here and we will pop up to meet you. The Casita lies down a 2km track. Nearest travel(Railway, Ferry, Airport) links is Malaga which is 30Kms. |
